Bench-made · one shop, four sawyers

Wood remembers
every hand.

Here's a rough-sawn walnut board, straight off the mill. Run your cursor across it — feel it go from splinter to satin, 80 grit to 220 to burnished. That last pass, when the grain finally lights up? That's why we do this. Every piece leaves the shop with that pass.

Built-ins & shelving

Floor-to-ceiling libraries, window seats, mudroom lockers — scribed to your crooked walls so tight you can't slip paper in.

measured twice, obviously

Stairs & railings

Treads that don't squeak, newels you'll hand down. We rebuild the bones, not just the paint.

Doors & trim

Solid doors hung to a whisper, casing with mitres like seams in a good suit. The house just feels heavier. Better.

shop-milled
Sawdust honesty

You'll see the shop, the boards we picked for you, and why. Wood costs what it costs; our labor is on one line.

The 220 promise

Nothing leaves at 120 grit. If your hand catches anywhere, we take it back to the bench.

Trees with names

Most of our stock is urban salvage — storm oaks, retired maples. Your table probably shaded someone's porch.

Got a wall that wants shelves?

Send a photo and rough sizes. We'll sketch it, price it, and bring a sample of the wood to your kitchen table.
