Every website is a film.

Act I

The brief

Every production opens the same way: someone hands us a thing they care about. We read it twice. The first time for what it says — the second for what it's afraid to ask for. That second reading is the film.

Act II

The form

Blocking, before acting. We storyboard the page like a scene — what enters first, where the eye rests, which line gets the close-up. Layout is choreography that hasn't started moving yet.

Act III

The motion

Nothing on our pages moves without a reason to. Easing is tone of voice; timing is comedy or gravity. The ball above isn't decoration — it's this page teaching you how it feels about physics.

Act IV

The launch

Opening night. The site goes live and starts doing what films do — holding strangers still for three minutes, and sending them off changed by a degree or two. That degree is the whole business.
